Staff Development and Organizational Structure

Congregations and middle judicatories often ask me to assess their decision-making structures, if their staff is the right size and composition, and whether staff and governing board policies and procedures are aligned with a clear vision.

I work with staff and appropriate leaders to understand systemic/structural issues that may be causing confusion and stagnation, and I assist them in learning to function in healthier ways.

An assessment of a healthy staff is often helpful to determine if the team is appropriately configured for the mission of the congregation, if the board members and staff team are best partnering together to fulfill God’s mission for their congregation, and what types of development activities can enhance the staff-congregation partnership.
